DAWSONVILLE BLUFFS

The Dawsonville Bluffs transaction marked CatchMark’s first institutional accessed capital channel, partnering with a major public pension fund.

TRANSACTION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • $20 million acquisition of 11,000 acres of prime timberlands in North Georgia
  • 50/50 joint venture fund formed in April 2017
  • Successfully completed the sale of its remaining high-quality timberlands, providing strong investment returns, asset management fees and incentive-based promotes
  • Continues to operate a mitigation bank selling compensatory credits to counterparties to offset their development impacts
